The theme of this range plan is stain glass windows, the imagery comes my drawing of a stain glass style jesus and my drawings of roses in the style of stain glass. The colour scheme of this range plan is aqua, purple and some green and pink. The pallet is harmonious, the colours work really well together and stand out on the black background. I have chosen the background as it gives the tee its urban style that i'm looking for to suit the target customer of male and female aged 15-30 with urban interests like music, fashion, art and photography. This range plan has been inspired by the stain glass windows in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and designer Karla Spetic I like how Karla took images of Jesus, put them into a stain glass style using bold bright block colours so i did similar. I was also influenced by Givenchy and the layout/composition of their statement tees. The tools used to create this range plan was; photography, drawings and Photoshop. When editing and designing on Photoshop i experimented using layers and the hue/saturation and brightness/contrast tools. I think the roses and jesus work together however i feel the imagery is quite cartoon style therefore it may not appeal to some of my target customers aged 15-30.
The theme of my range plan is urban architecture. I have taken a photograph of the alter in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and edited using Photoshop to create this urban print to suit my target customer. For this range plan i have used two different colour shemes, the first being the purples and blues, influenced by designer Karla Spetic. The aqua and purple are harmonious to one another and both stand out very well against the black background. I feel these colours work well as a whole, the purples are similar to those in the Givenchy tees however i have made the image more vibrant and electric looking as i feel this will appeal to my target audience of male and female with urban interests, like music, fashion, art and photography. The other colour scheme i have used here is black green and red, I really like this colour pallett however i dont think this would suit both female and male, it looks more like a male tee.
When making the print on Photoshop i used the brightness/contrast and hue/saturation tools alot, I also experimented with the shadows and colour balance. I feel this statement tee portrays the message of church being cool. This message has been influenced by Kanye West, seen in my Givenchy research, as Kanye also promotes the idea of church being cool in some of his songs with lyrics such as 'Next time i'm in church please now photos'.
Overall I am happy with this range plan but prefare the aqua and purple colours to the red and green as this suits my target customer better but as a collection both colours would work. Id like to develop this style using different images and layouts.
